I trained and
undertook my NVQ Level 2 Foundation Hairdressing in
Wimbledon at 'Alan International' and learnt the skills
needed to become a hair stylist.
I moved salon's
in 1997 to 'The Place Hair Salon' to fulfil my ambition to
move into management & training. I became the manager of the
Teddington branch and became one of two assessors/tutors for
the company.
I was fortunate
to have gained my NVQ Level 3 Advanced Hairdressing & NVQ
Level 3 Customer Service Awards, as well as attending
various educational & motivational courses.
I stayed at 'The
Place' for 5 years before deciding to take a belated 'gap
year'!
I went travelling
around Australia & New Zealand for a year and had a
fantastic time and truly had a trip of a lifetime!
I moved down to
Somerset in 2004 to undertake a full time teaching job with
'Paragon & ITE Training Group' and joined the hair team,
teaching practical and theory to a range of learners, it was
both challenging and rewarding. I undertook my NVQ Level 4
Teaching Certificate, which was challenging and of great
personal satisfaction when I completed Stage 2 of the
qualification.
I am very
passionate about my vocation and always strive to be
professional and achieve the best haircut or colour
possible. I call myself a hair designer as I will look at
every element of your hair, face shape & lifestyle and make
suggestions to what will suit you the best.
I came back into
full time hairdressing in 2007 as I missed creating styles
and the interaction with clients. I am now split
between working at Caines & Co - Tel 01935 44298,
